Chalmers tekniska högskola

The program is hosted by the Chalmers Area of Advance Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, which coordinates research on the unique phenomena prevailing at very small dimensions and promoting the development of technologies that utilise these phenomena. The Area of Advance provides, together with the Centre for Environment and Sustainability (GMV), an efficient organisation for transmission of research results to different societal actors, including companies and media. Chalmers has a long research history of material science in close collaboration with industry. Since 1995, Chalmers hosts the interdisciplinary Competence Centre for Catalysis, KCK, a world-leading research center within heterogeneous catalysis. It is of particular relevance that Chalmers has been part of the FORMAS NanoSphere strong research environment on engineered nanomaterial risk research and that Chalmers is coordinating the EU research initiative Graphene Flagship.
