Karolinska Institutet

The Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM), a department at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, is a national institute devoted to in vitro and in vivo investigations and analyses pertaining to physical and chemical aspects of environmental medicine and health protection. Karolinska Institutet, in turn, is the largest center for medical education and research in Sweden. Within the Division of Molecular Toxicology, research is conducted on the immunotoxicity and genotoxicity of engineered nanomaterials (funded by FORTE, FORMAS, MISTRA, and the European Commission through the Seventh Framework Programme and the Flagship Project GRAPHENE).
