Ferry Nugroho is defending his thesis

One of the reserchers in our program, Ferry Nugroho at the Department of Physics at Chalmers, is defending his thesis 23rd of May at 13:15. 

The title of his thesis are: "Nanoplasmonic Alloy Hydrogen Sensors A Quest for Fast, Sensitive and Poisoning-Resistant Hydrogen Detection"

Our researchers in Norwegian television about nanoplastics

Tommy Cedervall and Mikael Ekvall were recently interviewed by Line Elvsåshagen in Norwegian TV (NRK Planet Plast).

You can see the piece here (in Swedish):

The researchers join the program after 34 minutes, and speak about what happens to fishes that eat nanoparticles (through the particles taken up by algea, which is then eaten by zooplankton).

New website for SweNanoSafe

SweNanoSafe is a Swedish national platform for nanosafety that was launched in 2016, and now they have a new website ready: Here you can find knowledge about nanomaterials on behalf of the government.

In order to promote safe use and handling of manufactured nanomaterials, the platform aims to strengthen the cooperation between different stakeholders to ensure knowledge exchange in the field of nanosafety.

Single nanoparticle mapping paves the way for better nanotechnology

​Researchers at Chalmers University of Technology and the Technical University of Denmark have developed a method that makes it possible to map the individual responses of nanoparticles in different situations and contexts. The results pave the way for better nanomaterials and safer nanotechnology and were recently published in the journal Nature Communications.
